Headphones Sales and Deals
The Headphones to look out for

Headphones unlike TVs, don't have a set release schedule. Their price does usually drop over time but not in the same planned and dramatic manner. However, Black Friday does bring some excellent deals. Here's the best we've found on the headphones we recommend:

Jaybird X2

The Jaybird X2 are excellent sports headphones, and they have a decent enough overall performance, to be recommended for most use cases. They have an above-average sound quality, they're incredibly stable, portable and easy to carry around on your person. They also passively isolate better than some active noise canceling headphones. The Midnight color variation is currently below 100$, which is significantly cheaper than all the other color schemes, and well worth the investment.

Level U Pro

The Level U Pro deliver a lot of features for their budget price. They have a good wireless range they're more comfortable than typical in-ear models and provide a simple neckband fit that stable and versatile enough for sports use. They might not be the most well-built headphones, but at their low price, they're worth the investment. The noise canceling variation is also on sale, but we have yet to test that model.

Bluedio Turbine T2s

The Bluedio Turbine T2s have another deal/sale. They're an affordable wireless headset with a powerful bass. They don't have as many features as the Bluedio T3 plus, which are also on sale but they have a better wireless range and overall sound quality. They're also lightweight and somewhat stable enough to run with, but they're not the most comfortable headphones.

Sennheiser HD 650

The HD 650 are one of the iconic open headphones from Sennheiser. They are ideal for critical listeners who want an immersive and open sound. They're more comfortable HD 600 with a slightly better sound, but they're also a bit more expensive. However, like most open headphones they're only really meant for critical listening and won't fair well for other use cases or in loud environments.

Koss Porta Pro

The Porta Pros are popular on-ear headphones that deliver a sound quality on par with much more expensive models. They have a spacious and well-balanced audio reproduction that will easily satisfy casual or critical listeners. They're also compact and comfortable, but they're a bit fragile. They're already pretty affordable, but right now they have a 20% sale that makes them a great recommendation for most listeners.

Bowers & Wilkins P7

The P7 are stylish and sturdy headphones great for critical listening but they're not the most versatile. They let a considerable amount of ambient noise into your audio and leak a bit. They're also somewhat tight on most heads. However, when it come to sound quality they deliver a powerful bass and a well balanced mid and treble range. If you're looking for a durable and well-built pair of closed back headphones for pure critical listening then they may be a good option for you.

Bose SoundLink On-Ear

The SoundLink On-Ear are amazingly comfortable headphones, especially for an on-ear design. They have a good audio reproduction and a reliable wireless connection with a decent range. They last up to 20 hours on a single charge and are versatile enough for most use cases. They won't be the ideal headphones for commuting because they don't block ambient noise as well as some of the other headphones from bose. But if you don't mind the flashier white color variant you can currently purchase them at a discounted price.

Questions & Answers

Can any of these headphones be used on a Tv or is that a special category.
If your TV supports Bluetooth headphones, then the Bluetooth headphones listed here should work. For wired headphones, you may need an amplifier to bring the TV signal up to a level that headphones can use.
